Turning the Tables
Last spring, The JDK Group’s own office romance saw a happy ending. Timm and Emma Santana, a graphic designer and event specialist respectively, tied the knot on April 5, 2017 in true fairytale fashion. The JDK Group designed and catered the rural wedding, keeping it a family affair.
First, Unique Limousine treated the couple to a glamorous limousine ride. They soon arrived at their pre-wedding destination to prepare for the big day.
The bride and groom chose to keep the wedding local, and held the ceremony in a tipi village located in a forest near Emma’s parents home. Their choice in setting gave the event an almost enchanted feeling.
This hidden outdoor gem was truly meant to serve as the wedding venue. A blizzard had swept through the area just days before, and rain threatened to ruin the special occasion.
However, the skies remained clear and bright for the wedding. The location is remarkably unique, just as the couple joined there.
Beauty in the Details
The natural setting proved to be perfect. The JDK Group provided simple yet elegant floral arrangements and decor pieces, which added to the earthy sophistication of the rural wedding.
Aging picture frames, ornate stands, and colorful floral arrangements were paired with modern, sincere graphics to create a truly customized theme.
Guests were able to admire these thoughtful touches on their way to the ceremony. It could only be reached via a picturesque walk through the Pennsylvania woods.
Timm and Emma decided to keep their rural wedding intimate in order to save money for their honeymoon. Only 20 family members were in attendance. Neither the bride or groom were accompanied by a wedding party.
Emma was escorted down the aisle (or leaf-strewn pathway) by Anthony and Luca, Timm’s young sons.
Local York county artist Maggie York provided Emma’s makeup. Timm recalls that his wife looked “even more beautiful than usual.”

A Rural Wedding Among the Trees
Then, once the guests had arrived, the ceremony could begin. The happy couple exchanged vows in the backdrop of a rustic wooden tipi lined with bright flowers. The same colors adorned Emma’s bridal crown.
After a ceremony filled with passion and executed as if by magic, Timm and Emma were able to put their gorgeous location to good use. They posed for pictures with various family members.
The couple also used the natural light and antique furniture pieces to create some truly exquisite wedding photographs.
The Finishing Touch
Finally, the newlyweds were able to enjoy a drink in the shade of the trees. The JDK Group’s own Director of Innovation and Design, Erika Hegedus, created a three-piece dreamcatcher to decorate the scene as well.

As both JDK employees and clients, Timm and Emma were given nothing but the best. The couple recalls feeling immense gratitude for the creativity and dedication shown by their friends and coworkers.
Timm and Emma’s union thrived on simplicity and intimacy, and the result was a rural wedding unlike any other. They brought their expertise from The JDK Group into their own lives, and continue to help others create memories and experiences just as beautiful.

Beautiful wedding for a beautiful bride! It is only natural that everything was so well thought out and planned to perfection. We had the pleasure of having Emma plan several events for us. She is so detail oriented and very pleasant to work with. Wishing her and her new husband much happiness for many, many years to come!
